Bunny and the Bull

Went to see this last night, if you like the Mighty Boosh, your in for real treat, if not, you'll liken it to Michel Gondry i suppose, which isn't a bad thing, amazing animation and witty script, couldn't help thinking about going on a european road trip with Pritchard pretty much through the whole thing, ha!

Later on that same day it cleared up, feeling a bit gnarly i decided to pop up and have a dip at Wallenberg.....

After i'd given it a good lookin over and a whole bunch of head scratching Kate Leonard said, "Well you're here now, may as well give it a go?" I gave her a stern look.....

and then gave it a bash.... this was as close as i got to a make, if you look close enough i think you can see me brickin' it about.....there.
no make, had to settle for a ropey tailslide on the bottom curb, before being whisked off to pier 39 to look at sea lions.

Chris Cole Wins, for the second time!! i would say 'un - believe - able!' but really it's not he went off this year winning pretty much everything, although questions about style are always raised he's still ultra rhad!

Ferndale Skate Park what a brilliant set up, full kitchen, pool table, computers, games units etc... But why did they use council park fabricators? they are the worst, cost the most are the most permanent and unchangable ramps you can get, nevermind.
Good value for money, pads are not mandatory, helmets are,
bummer.
Had a bacon and egg bap which cheered me up. nice.

Went to the FLIP premier on the weekend, i managed to watch the Geoff Rowley section and if that was anything to go by i can't wait till the DVD comes out on the 22nd.
Did enjoy the silent disco afterwards, some say a little too much, missed the last train and went out all night in Cardiff, went on a private tour of the rooftops, it was brilliant.

Went to see the new Motive skate film last night in Cardiff, real good skating, wish the music had been better. Exist rider Dylan Hughes has a nice tight section although he'll tell you they didn't get much of his new footage in time or something, thought it was still 'Bangin mush'. Cheeky appearances from Nicky Howells and Jess Young Exiiiiistoooooh.
Drank too much and had to go home, straight to bed no supper.

Only just feeling normal after this last weekend, not sure about anyone else, but i had a Whale of a time: First of all Saturday, Bedminster, DLH Funday, what an awesome day, loads of bands, booze and guys i haven't caught up with in ages. The Ring of Fire comp was a highlight, i think a kickflip through it won?!Nice work for all the hard work Phil Brown, cheers. Had a little dance in The Spotted Cow afterwards, followed by some shannanigans at various peoples houses through out the night. 7 am I crashed out Nicky rocked up about an hour later,
which set us up nicely for "The Nicky Howells Game of S.K.A.T.E Challenge" the following morning! Awesome.
Drove back from Bristol, Pint of cider, straight back into competition mode,
Swansea.
Monkey Café 5pm. What an amazing game of s.k.a.t.e,

I think my favourite game was Andre 3000 vs Dan Mccabe in the semi's, Andre is like 12 years old and was busting out Nollie heelflips almost his own head height in the comp, it was awesome, Dan was turned into the Pantomime baddie as the crowd turned on him, but too much booze disabled any trick that involved turning 180 and he fell victim to the youngster. Andre went through to the finals,
The Other semi final saw an unbelievable game between Caradog Emmanuel and Jack Kirtley, both of whom play a mean game of s.k.a.t.e, but on the day Jack won through and put himself into the finals with Andre versus The Hammerhouse Howells.
Andre being 8 crumbled under the pressure, Jack put in a strong game pulling some amazing tricks, but in the end i think the nollie inward heelflip revert finished off the game, "The Nicky Howells Game of S.K.A.T.E Challenge" title goes to the holder!
